6 month(s) agoi got my hair done here earlier this year and hated my experience. the salon itself was nice and clean and i have no complaints at all in that regard but the stylist didn't do what i wanted at all. i wanted a milky brown and she went WAY too dark, and then charged me over 500$ for a half-head of highlights and some toner... for a colour i never asked for. honestly it was dissapointing and i wish i had spoken up at my apt but i was not about to pay to get it fixed again. i would never go back. maybe it was a miscommunication on my part, but i genuinely was s disappointed with my hair afterwards.

1 year(s) agoMy bridal party of six had our wedding makeup done at L’Atelier Coiffure, and the experience was both wonderful and stressful. The makeup artists and hair stylists were incredibly skilled and professional, especially Philippe, who managed to do an amazing job under pressure. The makeup turned out beautifully for me and my bridal party, despite the time constraints. However, one of the artists, Sofia, did not show up with no prior notice, which caused significant delays and added unnecessary stress on my wedding day. As the bride, I made the decision to stay calm and not complain to avoid adding more stress for others. With no other makeup artist available, I asked Philippe if he could do all the makeup himself, and he kindly accepted, stepping in to replace Sofia. Due to the unexpected situation, some of my makeup steps—such as skin preparation, relaxation, and touch-ups—had to be rushed. We also sacrificed valuable time for photography and, most importantly, arrived late to the ceremony. While I understand emergencies can happen, in this case, Sofia's absence was simply due to a lack of responsibility, not an unavoidable circumstance. Her disregard for her teammates and her clients on such an important day was extremely disappointing. A big thank-you to Jacinthe, Dylan, Marina, Charlie, and especially Philippe for their dedication and talent. Their hard work saved the day and ensured we still looked beautiful despite the challenges. I’ve known this salon for years as Francesca was my hairdresser when I lived in Old Montreal. While I appreciate their artistry and professionalism, I strongly suggest the salon implement a backup plan for such situations in the future. This would ensure a smoother and more stress-free experience for clients on their special day. Overall, I would recommend L’Atelier Coiffure for their talent and dedication, but better preparation for unforeseen circumstances would make the experience flawless.

It’s been a while since I’ve had my hair short because I couldn’t find anyone who could do it the way I wanted - until I found you. And the color is just perfect too. I’ve had SO many compliments from total strangers since my appointment with you last Thursday - that’s a big deal for a 66 year old woman‼️Thank you so much for bringing my hair back to life again - I look and feel so much younger. I was made for short, perfectly-layered, sassy, and beautifully coloured hair - good thing I found you❤️❤️❤️. You are the best - thank you. Kelley Bruce

5 month(s) agoI’m Looking for a Hair Stylist, that’s what my wife said to me, her husband. OK, I knew that this would involve an in depth search as only a retired Project Manager could accomplish. I found a Salon, she said one day on a walk through, Vieux Montreal. There it was L’Atelier Coiffeur et Esthétique. We do a lot of appointments together so I could give my opinion on this occasion too. The day of our rendez vous …We were met by Charlotte and showed where we got our pantoufles and hung up our jackets (January). The warmth was very pleasant as was the very mild scent of coffee. I found my chair, out of the way but from a good observation point in the shampooing area. What struck me was everyone seemed to be glad to be here. There was a lot of interaction. This place was a bee hive of activity and secondly everyone was truly enjoying themselves, including myself. I decided to go and check on my darling. She was in the chair and introduced me to Melissa who had transformed her. I agreed that I loved the new look but my question was how does one have and keep that look. Melissa had a product suitable for that purpose. I could tell that my wife was happy with the results thus far and I agreed that she looked lovely. Before leaving the area at the front, Melissa encouraged me to try some coffee from their nice Italian coffee maker, she meant the shiny machine, not Charlotte, who with a smile, handed me a freshly made espresso. So I retreated back to my chair and settled in with my warm brew in hand. I would guess that 20 minutes had passed by when my wife greeted me. She was flanked by Melissa and Marina. I sort of knew Marina she wasn’t aware but I had watched her do a colouring in a client’s hair and thought that’s a lot of work taking her time expertly layering her client’s hair. Carefully placing very thin layers of translucent white paper in amongst the hair using a thin comb. She gracefully executed this work with precision and always a smile. Almost together they said that I would enjoy a shampoo, massage and a cut. This was a conspiracy and I wasn’t expecting this but awkwardly agreed. They looked at each other with a nod. I won’t explain in depth because this day was belonged to my darling, ´ma blonde ´. Guys I’ve got to say, I was so relaxed after the shampoo and a wonderful scalp massage. Marina escorted me to her chair and we chatted while she used her electric razor and scissors, expertly and no time we were saying goodbye almost as if we were visiting family. As you might have already guessed, we had made our minds up, we had found our Atelier for hair styling and truly some new friends. I gave this wonderful ‘oasis’ Five on Five! John

1 month(s) agoI had my haircut on April 22nd and even though I’m a bit late writing this, I just had to share how great my experience was! Melissa did an A-MA-ZING job—honestly, the result was beyond what I was expecting 😍😍😍 She really understood what I wanted and made it even better!!! I absolutely love my haircut and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
