7 month(s) agoOn a recent trip to Montreal, I stopped into this spot for dinner, and it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic evening from start to finish. Every part of the meal was spot-on — I had mussels with a side of fries, but the real standout was the starter: a bold, hearty, and perfectly spicy ceviche. I’d go back just for that dish alone. I wrapped things up with a crème brûlée kissed with smoky bourbon — a clever twist on a timeless classic that was the perfect finale. The atmosphere is everything you’d want from a true Brasserie — warm, lively, and unpretentious, with a beautiful central bar anchoring the room. I chose a seat at the bar and couldn’t have been happier with the service. The team was friendly, funny, and clearly passionate about what they do. All in all, a stellar experience — great food, great vibe, and great people. Highly recommend a visit!

4 month(s) agoWe had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was truly outstanding. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. We were celebrating our friend’s anniversary, and he kindly took us to a beautiful private area and even did a small photo session for us — such a lovely touch. The interiors are elegant and very stylish, creating a special atmosphere. I had the black cod and my husband ordered the duck confit — both dishes were cooked perfectly. A place we would happily return to.

29 day(s) agoFood: Le Pois Penché was excellent. This was my first time having escargot, and it ended up being a great introduction: rich, garlicky, and much more enjoyable than I expected. The sliced scallop ceviche was the standout for me. It was fresh, bright, and clean, with enough acidity to wake everything up without covering the scallops. The steak frites was also very strong. The steak was cooked well, had good char, and the meat itself was butchered properly, which I appreciated. No tough silver skin or awkward pieces getting in the way, just a clean, satisfying steak with crisp fries on the side. The crème brûlée was a strong finish too, with that proper crackly top and smooth custard underneath. Service: Service was professional and easy throughout the meal. Everything came out at a good pace and the experience felt polished. Summary: Easy 5/5. The scallop ceviche was incredible, the steak frites was handled very well, and even trying escargot for the first time felt like a win here.
